Course Intro

Course Plan

This course teaches students an overview of Unix Programming. Starting from the basics, the course touches finally upon advanced topics which even regular Unix users may not be familiar with, such as tr, sed, and awk. The course is very much programming oriented. This course is open to all undergraduates who have had some programming experience.
 Textbooks
No textbook. The Unix features used in this course are all well-studied. We therefore only use internet references. In addition, the lecture slides contain the course content.
